CFC Ambassador Mishti Sivaramakrishnan Encourages Youth Volunteers to Make a Difference

Encouraging youth to get involved in helping their community, both local and global, was the theme of a wonderful discussion between longtime CFC volunteer Mishti Sivaramakrishnan and Goodwall, a global community of students and young professionals.

"It is our obligation as citizens to look around and look at our immediate communities," said Mishti. "You probably see people who need help."

Mishti is a former CFC UN Youth Ambassador, a role whe took on after years of volunteering through the Singapore American School's CFC club, and until recently worked in Switzerland with the World Economic Forum. She is now back in her home country of Singapore and quarantining until she can start a new role with the Singapore government.

"I have always felt the need to give back as much as I can at the stage I am at," said Mishti, explaining that youth and young professionals as well as those established in their careers can all make a difference.

Mishti's interview, which was hosted on Instagram can be found here.

Goodwall is an online community which counts more than 1.5 million members across 150 countries and encourges its members to connect on shared interests, showcase themselves, and discover opportunities, including jobs and internships.

Great job Mishti! Keep inspiring people across the globe with your dedication to service and to changing lives in communities near and far!
