Encouraging youth to get involved in helping their community, both local and global, was the theme of a wonderful discussion between longtime CFC volunteer Mishti Sivaramakrishnan and Goodwall, a global community of students and young professionals.
"It is our obligation as citizens to look around and look at our immediate communities," said Mishti. "You probably see people who need help."
Mishti is a former CFC UN Youth Ambassador, a role whe took on after years of volunteering through the Singapore American School's CFC club, and until recently worked in Switzerland with the World Economic Forum. She is now back in her home country of Singapore and quarantining until she can start a new role with the Singapore government.
"I have always felt the need to give back as much as I can at the stage I am at," said Mishti, explaining that youth and young professionals as well as those established in their careers can all make a difference.
